Robert Starbuck is a Savannah, GA based Artist and Designer passionate about the healing power of art and helping others unlock their creative potential through the breath. Robert’s creative work is heavily influenced by his healing journey through the modality of breathwork and the 3 years he has spent in construction learning about structure through the lens of geometry and mathematics.

From playing Division 1 college football, to opening his creativity through breathwork, to learning about the laws of physics during his time in the building industry, Robert brings a unique approach to healing and transformation that prioritizes creativity and moving energy through the psyche and body.

His intention in both the art that he makes and the breathwork journeys he leads is that they help others awaken to their true creative nature.

I am most inspired and influenced by the Truth and beauty found throughout nature, geometry, and number.

In all the art I create, I intend to express the Truth of what is occurring within me. I enjoy exploring themes of psychological wholeness, unity consciousness, alchemy, chaos vs order, balance and symmetry, polarity and the foundational geometric principles found throughout Nature.

In an attempt to express deeper psychic themes of my healing process through art, I work with archetypes and symbols. Doing this helps me give structure to an otherwise fluid and undefined experience. Healing trauma through breathwork and psychedelics, and learning about geometry, physics and mathematics during my 3 years in construction has helped me connect with deeper psychic material that comes through in abstract imagery and primordial symbolism. I use the act of painting as a healing tool to express this imagery out of my body and psyche.

I am also inspired and influenced by the following:

1. Ancient Mayan and Egyptian culture, mythology and numbering systems

2. All forms of calligraphy and typography

3. The masculine archetypes of The King and The Warrior

4. The psychotherapists Stan Grof and Carl Jung

4. The artists Michelangelo, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Retna and Francisco Campanella

5. The architecture of the built environment and the fundamental principles of geometry (point, line, plane, triangle, circle, and square)

7. The fluid nature of water

8. Technology, machines and systems

“THE_CODE_OF_RA” is a system of points, lines and numerals that follow a set of rules or “code” which allows the pattern to go on infinitely without repeating. This unique pattern balances the chaotic nature of creativity with the structural order of a grid and code to create an infinite design that makes each piece completely unique and 1 of a kind.
